Harsimran Kaur Sekhon
Harsimran is an empathetic and committed individual, working towards a Master’s degree in Counselling at City University of Seattle. She has completed her Bachelor’s in Psychology from Concordia University of Edmonton. Having gone through the difficulties of adjusting to a different culture and dealing with emotional challenges personally as an international student, she offers a distinct and empathetic viewpoint in their interactions with clients. She is particularly dedicated to helping people facing anxiety, depression, recovering from trauma, and adapting to significant life transitions. Using methods like Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), DBT, trauma-informed care, and mindfulness practices, she establishes a welcoming and empathetic environment for clients. Harsimran promotes the development of resilience and self-compassion in clients, helping them on their journey towards healing and empowerment. She also believes in de-stigmatizing the myths around therapy. I am committed to provide one on one therapy sessions, but I am also here to just sit and talk to you about therapy before we even begin. I am dedicated to continuing my professional growth with trauma informed care and multicultural counselling.
