Kathy Dudley
Kathy is working towards her registeration as an RCC with BCACC. Kathy has expertise in neurodivergence and has been a special ed teacher for decades.
You will find Kathy warm, empathetic and understanding. As a mature adult, she has extensive lived experience and uses trauma informed approaches in her work. She is often supports folx struggling with grief and loss, divorce and separation, step parenting and has been helping people and their caretakers who have developmental disabilities and their families. She is well equipped to walk with her clients through the valleys of life where they feel frustrated, hopeless, challenged and need compassionate help. As a local Port Coquitlam resident and licensed teacher she has led many special projects from substance use in Teens, supporting multicultural families and creating programs for youth to be resilient. She frequently helps students and families navigate the education system, figure out career paths, reduce work stress and repair familial bonds. Kathy uses Narrative theory, CBT, Logotherapy, Attachment lens and Bowen Family systems to collaboratively create a brighter future. She also uses DBT skills in her work and while working with couples applies Emotion focused therapy and Gottman lens.
