Nielaab Hedayat

I am a clinician-in-training currently completing a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology (MACP) at Yorkville University. I bring experience working with youth in care within community-based settings, where I have supported individuals navigating a range of emotional, behavioural, and life challenges.

As an Afghan woman, I am fluent in Dari, Farsi, and English, and I am passionate about increasing inclusivity, cultural awareness, and competence within the counselling field. I strive to create a safe, respectful, and non-judgmental space, meeting clients where they are at and building a strong therapeutic relationship grounded in trust.

My approach integrates evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Narrative Therapy, and elements of trauma-informed care. My goal is to support clients in developing self-awareness, resilience, and meaningful change while feeling seen, heard, and understood.
