How to overcome constantly feeling ‘you are in danger’
If you are constantly feeling like you are in danger, it can be a very distressing and overwhelming experience. This could be sign of your past traumas, recent triggers or deep rooted attachment injuries. It might even be possible that your nervous system is stuck in sympathetic mode of perhaps ‘fight’ or ‘flight’ response. Here are some steps you can take to try to overcome these feelings:

Identify and challenge negative thoughts: If you are constantly feeling like you are in danger but don’t have any history of trauma then you may be engaging in negative thinking patterns that are contributing to your feelings and emotions. Tap into social engagement domain: Surrounding yourself with supportive friends and loved ones can be useful in reducing your feelings of anxiety and isolation. Talk to people you trust about how you are feeling and ask for their support. Perhaps there reassurance can help you navigate life’s challenges with more ease.
While we all feel anxious or worried at times, continuously feeling you are in danger could be a signal from your body that some adaptive action needs to be taken. If your feelings are persistent and interfere with your daily life, it is so important that you connect with right resources and utilize them to your advantage.
